This is At First Glance (When It All Shifted), my sixth album. At First Glance takes a deeper dive into the feeling of being silenced. When I wrote this album, along with the next two, I was going through a lot. I felt unheard, dismissed, and at times, I even silenced myself. Self-doubt consumed me, and it broke me in ways I didn’t expect. Those emotions ran so deep that I ended up writing three entire albums about them right before producing Trapped Inside. It releases one year after I completed Trapped Inside. November 7th, 2025, At First Glance, my sixth album, will be yours. It All Shifted, the first single, is out now.
Cut It Off, the second single, is out now.
Felt Fine, the final single, releases October 24th.
Lucade is an eighteen-year-old music producer from Springfield, Ohio, known for his emotionally immersive, narrative-driven sound. Since beginning his creative journey at the age of fourteen, Lucade has independently released five projects as of June 2025—each one adding to a growing body of work that reflects vulnerability, experimentation, and personal growth. Also known as Cade, he is best recognized for creating conceptual “four-album stories”—multi-project arcs that trace themes of anxiety, healing, time pressure, emotional disconnect, and reflection. At the heart of his music is contrast: emotionally honest lyrics and introspective themes often unfold over dreamy synthscapes, ambient textures, or rhythmically unpredictable production."My music is a blend of dreamy synths, experimental bass, chops, and drums," Cade explains. "Each track is designed to feel like a world of its own."Lucade’s debut album, Neverending Possibilities (released October 2022), marked the first step in this journey. Initially created as a personal outlet, the project soon became a bold artistic statement, shaped by themes of relationships, anxiety, and the quiet search for meaning. The album set the tone for the deeply conceptual and emotionally transparent work that followed.Lucade draws inspiration from boundary-pushing artists like The 1975, Melanie Martinez, and Ethel Cain—all known for bending the rules of production, song structure, and genre. Like them, Lucade uses music not just as expression but as storytelling—letting each release unfold like a chapter in an ongoing emotional and sonic narrative. In addition to his solo work, Cade produces under the alias Just Productions., a creative space for remixes, collaborations, and reimagined versions of songs by other artists. What started as a side project soon evolved into an extension of his core artistry—another outlet for experimenting with arrangement, structure, and emotion through sound.Whether through Lucade or Just Productions., Cade continues to build a sound rooted in honesty, connection, and the desire to tell stories that resonate.
